About Dave Feral

AI Director & Storyteller working at the intersection of culture, technology, and narrative.

I’m Dave Feral, an AI Director and Storyteller with over 20 years of experience across design, technology, and narrative work. My background is rooted in digital design and creative direction, where aesthetics, function, and storytelling meet.

Over the years, my focus has shifted toward directing projects that explore how emerging technologies — especially AI — can be used deliberately, not generically. I’m interested in stories and visuals that feel raw, human, and intentional — work that carries tension, mood, and meaning rather than polish for its own sake.

In 2022, I moved to Copenhagen. That shift marked a turning point in my practice, pushing my work further toward cinematic direction, street culture, and mixed media storytelling. Today, I work across screens, installations, and brand environments — shaping narratives that feel grounded and emotionally present.

What I Do

I work across AI direction and mixed media storytelling, including:

  • AI-Driven Exhibitions
Immersive installations designed to challenge perception and provoke response.
  • Character & Narrative Direction
Developing consistent characters, worlds, and storylines with emotional weight.
  • Campaign Direction
Leading AI-enhanced campaigns that combine brand storytelling with cinematic language.
  • Creative Partnerships
Collaborating with brands, studios, and teams to push creative boundaries using AI tools.
  • AI Strategy & Consulting
Advising on meaningful AI integration within creative workflows.

Why Work With Me

With over two decades of creative leadership, I bring a director’s perspective shaped by experience across art, design, and technology. I don’t treat AI as a shortcut or a gimmick — I treat it as part of a broader cinematic toolbox.

My role is to direct AI with intention: shaping stories that embrace imperfection, texture, and edge. Whether it’s a commercial project, an immersive installation, or an experimental short, the goal is always the same — to create work that feels considered, human, and relevant.
